After completing the prerequisites found in the Getting Started guide, you’ll be ready to set up the WooCommerce FedEx plugins settings.
Finding the Settings Screen
The quickest way to get to the settings entry screen for the WooCommerce FedEx Integration plugin is via the Digital Duck menu item.
- From the WordPress Admin Dashboard
- Find Digital Duck item located in the main menu (black sidebar)
- Hover your mouse over the menu item.
- Click Shipping Label Settings from the items that are revealed.
- Click the FedEx tab.
Note that you’ll also need to fill out your address and contact details in the general settings. Including phone number, as it’s a requirement of the FedEx API.
Settings Options
From the settings screen, you’ll see a number of fields to complete.
Accounts: is the overacrhing group of settings, you can have multiple accounts, allowing you to FedEx.
Nicename: is the name shown when you need to select an account. It should be memerable, so you can recognise it as the correct account.
Enviornment: Is the type of details you’re entering. Note test API details will be different from Live ones.
API Key: is key generated from within the FedEx developer portal.
Secret Key: is key generated from within the FedEx developer portal.
Generating an credentials
To create new credentials you’ll need to first setup an Organisation and Project on the FedEx developer platform. You can find a guide in the Getting Started tutorial.
